National Football Foundation Bill Ireland, Las Vegas Chapter and Stallworth Strong Foundation Announce David Johnson as Inaugural Stallworth Strong Scholarship Recipient

LAS VEGAS, NV – May 28, 2025 – The National Football Foundation (NFF) Bill Ireland, Las Vegas Chapter, in proud partnership with the Stallworth Strong Foundation, today announced David Johnson, a standout football player and scholar from Chaparral High School, as the inaugural recipient of the 2025 Stallworth Strong Foundation Scholarship. This prestigious $2,500 merit-based scholarship will provide significant financial assistance towards Johnson's college tuition.

This esteemed scholarship will be officially awarded to David Johnson at the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, June 13, 2025, held at Lee’s Family Forum. Johnson will be honored alongside some of the region’s most accomplished athletic contributors during this marquee celebration of excellence in sports and community leadership.

The Stallworth Strong Foundation Scholarship was established to support and recognize exceptional high school football players from Southern Nevada who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic excellence, leadership, and unwavering integrity—on and off the field. The scholarship aims to empower recipients as they pursue their college football careers, while upholding the core values of being Stallworth Strong: leadership, hard work, and doing what’s right, even when no one is watching.

"David Johnson exemplifies everything this scholarship stands for," said Steve Stallworth, President of the Stallworth Strong Foundation. "His performance on the field is matched only by his commitment to academics and leadership within his school and community. We’re proud to honor David as our very first recipient and excited to support his journey as he pursues excellence at the next level."

Branan Allison, President of the NFF Bill Ireland, Las Vegas Chapter, added, "We are incredibly honored to collaborate with the Stallworth Strong Foundation to present this inaugural scholarship to David. His dedication on and off the field truly embodies the values we champion. We believe this award will provide a vital stepping stone for his continued success in higher education, and we look forward to recognizing him at the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony."

David’s selection sets the tone for what will become an annual tradition of honoring and uplifting the next generation of leaders in Southern Nevada through the Stallworth Strong Foundation Scholarship. Scholarship funds for David Johnson will be available for distribution to his chosen institution by September 15, 2025, and must be used during the scholastic year following his high school graduation.
