National Football Foundation, Bill Ireland-Las Vegas Chapter, Awards Scholarships to Outstanding Student-Athletes

LAS VEGAS, NV – June 2, 2025 – The National Football Foundation (NFF) Bill Ireland-Las Vegas Chapter is proud to announce the awarding of several scholarships to exceptional high school student-athletes for their achievements in academics and athletics. These scholarships aim to support their pursuit of higher education.

Saione Inoke from Centennial High School as our top scholar awardee.

Alex Rogers from Faith Lutheran High School.

Markel Rogers from Mater East.

Dario Starts from Sunrise Mountain High School.

"We are incredibly proud to honor these dedicated young men for their commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom," said Branan Allison, Chapter President. "Their hard work and perseverance embody the values of the National Football Foundation, and we are thrilled to support their college tuition as they embark on the next chapter of their academic and athletic journeys."

Stallworth Strong Recognizes Jordyn Staggs with their Inaugural 12th Man Award

Faith Lutheran's Jordyn Staggs Named Inaugural Recipient of Stallworth Strong Foundation "12th Man" Scholarship

LAS VEGAS, NV – June 2, 2025 – The Stallworth Strong Foundation, in collaboration with the Bill Ireland Las Vegas Chapter of the National Football Foundation, is proud to announce Jordyn Staggs, a dedicated football team manager from Faith Lutheran High School, as the first recipient of the Stallworth Strong Foundation "12th Man" Scholarship.

The merit-based scholarship recognizes outstanding high school seniors in Southern Nevada who contribute to their football programs in non-player support roles, such as team managers, athletic trainers, and equipment staff. Jordyn Staggs was selected for her exceptional leadership, dedication, and professionalism as team manager, embodying the core values of the Stallworth Strong Foundation.

Jordyn will be honored at the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on June 13, 2025, at Lee's Family Forum. She will be celebrated alongside prominent figures in the region's sports and community leadership.

Steve Stallworth, founder of the Stallworth Strong Foundation, stated, "Jordyn is a trailblazer and the perfect choice to receive our first-ever 12th Man Scholarship". He added, "She represents the values of leadership, integrity, and hard work—not just on game day, but every single day. People like Jordyn are the backbone of every great football program, and we’re thrilled to help support her future".

The "12th Man" Scholarship will be awarded annually to students who demonstrate unwavering commitment to their football programs through their behind-the-scenes contributions. This award aims to highlight the often-unseen impact of support team members and help them pursue their ambitions in college athletics and beyond.

The NFF Bill Ireland Las Vegas Chapter Announces the Inaugural Stallworth Strong Scholarship Winner

National Football Foundation Bill Ireland, Las Vegas Chapter and Stallworth Strong Foundation Announce David Johnson as Inaugural Stallworth Strong Scholarship Recipient

LAS VEGAS, NV – May 28, 2025 – The National Football Foundation (NFF) Bill Ireland, Las Vegas Chapter, in proud partnership with the Stallworth Strong Foundation, today announced David Johnson, a standout football player and scholar from Chaparral High School, as the inaugural recipient of the 2025 Stallworth Strong Foundation Scholarship. This prestigious $2,500 merit-based scholarship will provide significant financial assistance towards Johnson's college tuition.

This esteemed scholarship will be officially awarded to David Johnson at the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, June 13, 2025, held at Lee’s Family Forum. Johnson will be honored alongside some of the region’s most accomplished athletic contributors during this marquee celebration of excellence in sports and community leadership.

The Stallworth Strong Foundation Scholarship was established to support and recognize exceptional high school football players from Southern Nevada who demonstrate academic achievement, athletic excellence, leadership, and unwavering integrity—on and off the field. The scholarship aims to empower recipients as they pursue their college football careers, while upholding the core values of being Stallworth Strong: leadership, hard work, and doing what’s right, even when no one is watching.

"David Johnson exemplifies everything this scholarship stands for," said Steve Stallworth, President of the Stallworth Strong Foundation. "His performance on the field is matched only by his commitment to academics and leadership within his school and community. We’re proud to honor David as our very first recipient and excited to support his journey as he pursues excellence at the next level."

David’s selection sets the tone for what will become an annual tradition of honoring and uplifting the next generation of leaders in Southern Nevada through the Stallworth Strong Foundation Scholarship. Scholarship funds for David Johnson will be available for distribution to his chosen institution by September 15, 2025, and must be used during the scholastic year following his high school graduation.

Nominate Student Athletes for a 24/25 College Scholarship today!

The Bill Ireland-Las Vegas Chapter of the National Football Foundation is once again providing scholarships to local senior student athletes this year. Based on receipt of their completed application, the top 3 applicants from Las Vegas area High Schools will be chosen to receive scholarships for the following amounts each: $3000, $2000, and $1000. All applicants will be awarded Scholar Athlete Recognition with our local chapter.

This year we will also be awarding The Stallworth Strong Scholarship. The Stallworth Strong Foundation’s (SSF) primary mission is to provide merit-based scholarships to deserving student athletes from Southern Nevada, who wish to continue their college football career.The scholarship award is $2500.

The inaugural Stallworth Strong Scholarship will be presented in June 2025 as part of the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Criteria For the Stallworth Strong scholarship must include the desire to continue playing college football at a high level. Athletes must display pride and passion for Southern Nevada. Athletes must also demonstrate the traits that embodies the Stallworth Strong values of Leadership, Hard Work, Commitment to Excellence, and doing the right thing always – especially when no one is watching.

The Stallworth Strong $2500 Scholarship will be determined by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee Las Vegas Chapter of the National Football Foundation and awarded at the annual Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame induction Ceremony. The SSF is independently operated by its Board of Directors as a non-profit (501c-3) organization.

Please see the enclosed application for both scholarships, including information and guidelines and submit an application electronically (preferred) or via email for one senior football player per high school. Please note that all applications must be received at my office by noon on March 1, 2025 to be eligible. Unfortunately, due to our time constraints to get information to our national organization, no exceptions will be made for applications received after the deadline date.
